Core Goals (3-5 Year Horizon)

I began this process proposing the following goals. However, since I have not seen much engagement, I will adjust my goals until I see more. I am including the altered goals in each section for clarity.

  1. Training & Professional Development
    • Deliver neuroaffirming staff workshops and professional development sessions to at least 10 Saskatchewan school divisions within the first 3 years.
  1. Consultation & Support
    • Provide tailored consultation services for school divisions on inclusive policies and classroom practices.
    • Offer coaching and mentorship opportunities for teachers seeking direct support.
    • Altered Goal:
      • Provide answers for school divisions on inclusive politicies and classroom practices, and recommendations for resources.
      • Offer support to neurodivergent teachers on how to step forward into neuroaffirming leadership roles.
      • Offer support to non-neurodivergent teachers on how to implement neuroaffirming practices in their classrooms.
  1. Resource Development
    • Create accessible training materials, toolkits, and online resources for educators.
    • Launch a digital resource hub by Year 2.
    • Altered Goal:
      • Create accessible materials for neuroaffirming practices for teachers.
  1. Advocacy & Community Engagement
    • Partner with provincial education associations and advocacy groups to help promote neuroaffirming approaches.
    • Host a Neurodiversity in Education Workshop in Year 3.
    • Altered Goal:
      • Work to create partnerships with provincial education associations and advocacy groups to help promote neuroaffirming approaches.
      • Organize or participate in a Neurodiversity in Education workshop within the first 3 years.
  1. Sustainability & Growth
    • Build a financially stable nonprofit with diverse revenue streams, including grants, contracts, and training fees.
    • Expand collective membership by inviting more neurodivergent educators into leadership and delivery roles.
    • Altered Goal:
      • Establish a stable and engaged collective of neurodivergent educators in Canadian schools.
      • Work on promoting psychological safety for neurodivergent educators to be willing to step forward and share their lived expertise with colleagues.
